The Rain

I see the droplets of rain pouring down,

Like a pot full of water broken.

I see them shining with smugness,

Like a king with a victory over Caesar.

I can smell the unity of sand and rain,

Alas! What can I say but grandeur.

The sound of, them touching the land,

Is as mellifluent as of hearing Mozart in act.

Not alone are they,

Bringing breeze of coldness, sense of relief,

Fell I blessed experiencing it.

I’m astonished, enthralled,

How could be a life-less thing so dulcet,

Feel I incomplete without it;

I’m jealous of it,

I’m covetous about it.

Then I condole myself,

I’m a human being, it isn’t.
